Randy Burkett has been in the billboard and outdoor advertising business since 1979. He has successfully developed over 2500 billboard faces in his career through Burkett Outdoor Advertising, LP. Randy has built and sold numerous billboard plants throughout the United States from 1985 to 2004. After beginning his career in Houston and Albuquerque, he partnered with former Dallas Cowboy, Mike Gaechter and further developed Albuquerque and Amarillo. After selling his interest to Gaechter in the late 1980’s, Randy began developing his own company in the following markets::

He has successfully developed and sold assets in over 20 markets throughout the U.S.A. Randy has sold and/or traded assets in the past with Lamar Advertising, CBS Outdoor, Martin Media, Bowlin Outdoor, Simmons Media, and others. He has developed numerous relationships within the industry over the years. In 2008 he began building billboards once again in Amarillo, Texas. Todate he has built 10 new digital billboards along with over 100 static billboard signs.
He also offers consulting services that consult Private Equity and Investment Banking Firms with respect to outdoor advertising trends and market conditions and serves as an expert consultant for Gerson Lehrman Group, www.glgroup.com in New York, City. He also owns Burkett Transit Advertising, Inc. which formally operated bus shelter and bench advertising in San Marcos and Amarillo, Texas.
He currently operates Burkett Family Investments, LP which owns commercial and residential real estate in Texas and New Mexico. This entity also owns numerous perpetual easements beneath competitor’s billboards signs throughout Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Randy resides in Amarillo, Texas with his wife of 44 years, Debby. He has two children, a son Beau who owns and operates Burkett Media, LP in Austin, Texas www.burkettmedia.com and a daughter Shelby Burkett Tavern who owns www.TImberBrooke.com a very successful national online womens clothing store.
Randy Burkett also served on the Amarillo City Council from 2015 to 2017. He played a major role in getting Major League Affiliated AA Baseball brought to the City. He also served on the Local Government Council who's primary role was to build a new baseball stadium downtown for the new team.
